Biography

Arturo Michel, 25, was born in the state of Chiapas, Mexico; but grew up in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Currently, he is an undergraduate student at UANL (Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon) with one year remaining before achieving his bachelor degree in Industrial Design.

He has always been interested in all kind of designs, from product designs to architectural models; but his biggest passion has always been automotive design. That has been his biggest motivation and one of the reasons why he enrolled in the Industrial Design field so he could get closer to his goal of automotive design.

He has competed in several design competition with satisfactory results. He also has experience as a freelance industrial and graphic designer and some experience with developmental engineering production. Currently, he is working as an body designer for REGIO BUS, an industry who specializes in assemble and design of public transportation, interstate transportation and special designs for costumers and body car designs. He is close to finalizing his first body bus design out to production.

His short term plan is to work towards a Masters degree in transportation design and in the future to work as automotive designer.

Description

This vehicle will use alternative energy sources in order to move. The alternative energies will be hydrogen fuel cells and solar energy that will generate electrical energy. It will have an ample windshield with a holographic view, cameras and distance sensors to prevent accidents and to facilitate parking. This vehicle will have a controlled GPS cruise control that will work depending on the traffic conditions and the road. The panels are made of plastic and it will have an intermediate canal system made of corrugated cardboard to absorb impacts. The structure is like a capsule in order to have a high impact resistance. The vehicle uses high intensity LED lights and exterior communication. For parking, the wheels will rotate 180 degrees. The doors rotate over the vehicle to facilitate the entrance to it.  It offers many features along with a solid reliable and sport image.
