Scale Model on Display at Michelin Challenge Design™

Eric Seung Hun Beak was born in Korea and is currently a graduate student in transportation design at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, CA.  He has had internships with VMCC (Volvo Monitoring Concept Center) studio and Design Storz in Austria.

Before he entered the design field, he was studying to be a dentist. Even though dentistry was not connected to design, his enthusiasm towards a future design career can’t be denied. It is his dream to be part of creative design in the future.

With the tag line XCOP (Extreme Car for Ordinary People), Ford Motor Company presents T-40 by concept blending with GT-40 and model-T in the year of 2020.  This car will let ordinary people experience an extreme super car with lower cost than the current Ford GT model. With its extremely high performance generated from magnetic levitation wheel motors, it benefits by reducing maximum mechanical components from the vehicle leaving an extremely light weight vehicle with a low production cost.  Its inspiration, the cheetah, allows this car to have more dynamic and athletic sculptural form on its proportion.
