Biography

Keegan McClain, 24, became interested in transportation design at a young age. In high school, inspired by the work of Chip Foose and documentaries highlighting the work of Industrial Designers in relation to motorcycle and hot rod design, he decided to purse a degree in Industrial Design. Keegan graduated with a bachelor of Industrial Design from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2008.

Currently working as a drafter and freelance designer, Keegan plans to complete his second bachelors degree in Mechanical Design with in the next few years. He would like to push the limits of his design and see them through to production.

Description

The MC 2 is a passionate stripped down machine with a powerful and innovative drivetrain ready for the open road. It is a quick, efficient, and adaptive town vehicle capable of transporting two people while keeping up with freeway traffic. This vehicle is alternatively fueled with a range in excess of 100 miles and capable of reaching 100 mph.

This vehicle is the first electric motorcycle to celebrate its drive system like any air cooled conventionally fuel cruiser. The motor is showcased in a unique perpendicular-hub configuration, but the innovations don’t stop there. The handle bars can be adjusted from a low racing style, to tall ape hangers, or anywhere in between because of a unique pivoting system. The riding position is adjustable from a seat height of twenty-four inches, all the way to thirty-three inches. This means that this bike can be adjusted to accommodate nearly sized rider or any riding style. Not only can this vehicle by recharged at any 110 outlet, it’s fairing is surfaced with a thin film solar collector to gather that free clean energy from the Sun for a few extra miles.  ith electrifying direct drive system, innovative features to numerous to list, and Radiant style, this vehicle will change the way the world sees motorcycles.
