Biography

Sergio Andres Ortiz, a student at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. He has participated in different competitions worldwide in the automotive field with the Peugeot Design Contest 2004 – 2006 – 2008 and the BMW Idea Contest 2010. In addition, he participated in the design of product development with Lunetiers du Jura International Eyewear Design Competition 2010, Kasapon Colombia and Meals Colombia.

He is a Design Enthusiast and has been beyond the design aesthetic, offering design solutions that help social mission, which includes projects for natural disasters, including: Colombian Helicopter project, development of web sites for Arte sin Pausa and hypermedia as November 00.

He is currently developing a new concept of speed bike YEYO and projects with the University.

Description

This project responds to the competition to study urban transport problems, focusing on a specific user and context to fully develop the idea. In my country, the problem of handicapped people is great especially in not having autonomy and to be transported is costly. The project also takes the problem of scrap tires that cause as much pollution and waste to a minimum. The project addresses to be used in 2021 in Bogota.

Urban transport is a fundamental need to respond to traffic problems and pollution in cities especially with an increasing population. It takes a case study of people with physical disabilities to make an unconventional vehicle that will work in the year 2021 using existing bicycle routes in the city. An electric transport that does not affect the environment and above all, the problem of contamination of the tire is operated in its reduction of material to be viable as a company.

The technologies used are based on an electric car that uses two batteries to give greater durability in use, and to understand technology and innovation in pollution causing the tires are made from recycled tires used tires contribute to the ecology and reducing material to manufacture the vehicle. In the production, carry out the shredding of rubber used for vulcanizing again, the seat is made from neoprene and aluminum structure to make the vehicle stronger and lighter, in turn, economic. The lifestyle is handled in a person who despite his disability, gives prestige car within the city in exchange for wheelchair driving the concept of compact.
