Design Brief

If we look on megacity beaches and disaster areas at coast regions, we will find a need for efficient rescue vehicles which combines land and water rescue in a perfect symbiotic way.
The rescue ways are long and difficult so that there is a need to support lifeguards through future technologies.

With an amphibious vehicle there is a given solution to rescue people in the water and bring them fluent from water to the rescue station without useing a variety of different vehicles.

How does your design answer the anticipated preferences, lifestyles and transportation needs for the people in your country or region?

In Rio there is a very active and growing beach lifestyle. For this case I designed an amphibious vehicle which has high function on land as on the water for fast and efficient rescue maneuver.

It offers a solution for fast rescue with a vehicle wich can move fluent from land to water without any wait time.

What makes your design unique?

From styling aspects there is the catamaran styled lower exterior body and the soft surfaced upper body.

The catamaran hull’s gives the possibility to place and trim the vehicle through the balanced positioning of the batteries and the turbines. Also the mecanum wheels give the vehicle a very unique new look and appearance .

What technologies, innovations, lifestyle needs and concepts have you incorporated into your design? How?

As an amphibious vehicle for beach rescue there is a need for perfect driving parameters on land as on the water. The mix of the mecanum wheels as an all terrain drive and 2 water jet turbines for water drive gives the car a new combination for amphibious vehicles.

Also the new construction of the exterior with a mix of car elements and boat elements set new levels for this kind of hybrid vehicles.
